The Maidenhead Town Show is a free to attend, not-for-profit annual 'country show in the town' in its 11th year, that brings together local people to celebrate their creativity.

It is led by Craft Coop, a CIC that supports over 150 local crafters with advice and low-cost shared retail space. The Show developed as Craft Coop wanted to give local non-professional artists and craftspeople the chance to share what they do - and to celebrate local creativity of all kinds.

The event has been growing since it began in 2013 with just 10 entrants in 4 classes. At the 10th Maidenhead Town Show in October 2023, we raised nearly £2000 for children-based charities Family Friends RBWM and GOSH as part of One Great Day. In addition the Nicholsons Centre enjoyed 13,591 visitors, its third highest footfall day for 2023 - the town was a-buzz!

The Maidenhead Show has grown from several tables in the shopping centre to a multi-site event across Maidenhead.

More specifically, in 2023, there were

31 craft competition categories and 6 dog show categories
30+ craftstalls
100+ participants of craft sessions (children and adults)
25+ volunteers to help set up
Many local musicians, a dance school and a tuneless choir
2 main charities - plus community organisations
Frida the giant hippo, Festival Fox, Elsa the Ice Queen and a Unicorn Princess
In addition to a Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Town Crier!

The Town Show has been held in several different locations across the Town Centre, including the the library amphitheatre. Since 2022, we joined the Nicholsons Centre's own fundraising event, to create an indoor-outdoor event incorporating the High Street providing an easy access, indoor-outdoor, weatherproof, safe venue, with lots going on.

The Town Show is volunteer-led and brings people together to celebrate local creativity in all its forms. Every year it grows in popularity and we can't wait to make The Maidenhead Town Show 2024 the best it has ever been and attract even more people, building a sense of pride in our town. We'll be moving the day to a Sunday this year to take over the whole High Street and benefit from free parking!
